Clark opened his mouth to say something before he cocked his head and couldn't help a chuckle. Then he wiped the laugh off his lips and settled beside Lois.

"So what's the rundown on your injuries?"

"Lots of broken," Lois admitted, "but not much internal. They were trying to hurt me, not kill me. Definitely up there with my worst travel experiences, though."

"I... should hope so," Clark said, obviously trying to keep his spirits up.
